The route starts at the information boards behind Jämikeskus and Jämi-Areena, from where the route heads left, following the foot of Soininharju hill. After about 800 m, the route crosses the road and turns right parallel to the road. The route continues for 300 m and turns left at the intersection. The route runs on the paleobeach terrace platform of Hämeenkangas for another 50 m and then descends along the slope to the lower platform for a distance of about 200 m. The route turns right just below the slope and continues following the base of the slope. After about 200 m you cross a track, after which you reach the forest church of Hämeenkangas after about 300 m. From there, the route continues to the left for about 200 m and then turns right. The route continues for 350 m to a crossing, from which a detour route to Uhrilähde and Kylmänmyllynlähde springs takes you to the left and a route to Koivistonvadi straight ahead.

You can get to the springs by crossing Mielahdentie road and following the signs to Uhrilahti. About 500 m after the straight, turn left at the intersection and continue 350 m to the parking area of Uhrilähti and Kylmänmyllynlähti. The forest path leads to the springs, follow the signs. Return from the springs by the same route back to Mielahdentie.

The route to Koivistonvati continues for about 180 m and then turns right and crosses the forest road after about 50 m. The route continues as a needle path for about 800 m, crosses another forest road and continues for another 500 m as a needle path until it reaches the forest road. The route turns right, follows the forest road for about 100 m to the Koivistonvati parking area, from where it turns right to the Koivistonvati cooking shelter and Leirikoululaavu lean-to.

From the Koivistonvati cooking shelter, the route continues following the graveled path past the toilet building towards the south for about 150 m, and turns right at the path intersection. The route now follows the line of the Koivistonkierros trail uphill for 650 m, crosses a forest road, continues for 150 m and crosses another forest road, and continues for another 300 m until it reaches the alignment of Pirkan ura trail. In this section, the route follows the same line as the Koivistonkierros, so walkers also move along the route.

At Pirkan ura the route turns to the right and departs from Koivistonkierros trail. The route continues straight for about 300 m, crosses the forest road and continues straight for 900 m to Niiniharju. On the left side of the route is Niiniharju's lapp hut. The route continues straight for about 100 m through the P area of Niiniharju and turns left, follows the line of the Pirkan ura trail for another 350 m and then turns left onto the needle trail that leads to Soininharju ridge. On Soininharju, the route runs parallel to the crest of the ridge for about 800 m, with several intersecting paths on the way. The route then turns right, after about 100 m left and after 100 m right, and continues straight for about 150 m to the lookout tower.

From the lookout tower, the route goes around to the right behind the tower and then immediately turns left. Follow a downhill section of about 200 m, in the middle of which the Soininharju lean-to shelter is on the right side of the route. From the foot of the hill, the route continues gently to the left, curving towards the Jämi guide board complex and the starting point of the route, where the distance is about 150 m.
