The challenging barrier-free trail following the northernmost part of the Pyhäniemi - Käskyvuori outdoor route leads to the summit of Käskyvuori, the best-equipped nature attraction in northern Pirkanmaa. On Käskyvuori, there is a lookout tower, campfire site and lean-to, campfire hut, kota, toilet, and magnificent views. The route and area are owned and maintained by the municipality of Kihniö.
The trail is leveled, and its section on the Käskyvuori summit is built as a plank path. The barrier-free section extends to the campfire hut.
The trail is marked with route signs. Guidance is supplemented with a GPX track available from Outdooractive.
No public transport
By roadFrom Järvisuomentie 23, turn onto Kihniöntie 2790 and drive through the center of Kihniö municipality for a total of 11.5 km, turn left onto Itäpääntie and continue 3 km (at the intersections, check that you are driving on Itäpääntie, the road also changes to Karhusalontie). Turn right onto Käskyvuorentie and drive 3.5 km until you reach the Käskyvuori parking lot. From the parking lot, a 500 m long wide sawdust-surfaced path leads to the Käskyvuori viewpoint and rest area, which is part of the Kihniö fitness trail. In winter, there is a ski track on the fitness trail.
