At the starting point of the Koivistonkierros, Niiniharju, Finland's northernmost forest lindens are known to grow. Koivistonvati, on the other hand, is the largest kettle hole in Hämeenkanka, i.e. a depression that originated from the melting of an iceberg buried in sand and gravel.
Koivistonkierros and its camping services are maintained by Metsähallitus, Järvi-Suomen nature services. Part of the route runs through an area used for forestry.
Continue past the cooking shelter and in front of the toilet building for about 150 m until you reach a gate. After the gate, turn right and follow the signs. After about 1.1 km, the route crosses Pirkan ura trail again and continues along the the southern slope of Hämeenkangas. After about 350 m, you cross a forest road. The route continues from here about 800 m back to Niiniharju's house, where it ends.
