Mustansaarenkeidas nature trail in Isojoki
Visitors to Mustansaarenkeidas get a glimpse of the unique landscape and species of the extensive spring mire complex located in the border area of Satakunta and South Ostrobothnia. The northern part of the mire is easily explored via the nature trail, making Mustansaarenkeidas a great day trip destination in summer.
Along the trail is an observation tower, which offers a good view of the varied mire landscapes formed by pools and an opportunity to observe the area's diverse birdlife without disturbing it. The facilities in the area are accessible.
Mustansaarenkeidas is part of the large Haapakeidas mire protection area, which includes about a dozen large separate mires and numerous smaller ones. All the types of mire formations characteristic of the region are present in the area. The fauna and flora of the area are very valuable.
The route is marked with trail signs. Navigation is supported by the GPX track available on Outdooractive. The trail is maintained by Metsähallitus.

Head left from the parking area following the trail signs. Follow the flat gravel path to the edge of the mire for about 300 m, then climb a gentle ramp onto the mire. Continue along the wide boardwalk at the edge of the mire, and after about 250 m you will reach the birdwatching tower. The first level of the birdwatching tower is accessible by a gentle ramp. The second level is reached by stairs. There is a guestbook in connection with the tower.
The route continues forward from the tower and after about 100 m the path returns from the mire back into the forest. After about 400 m of forest section the path returns to the starting point.
No public transport.
By roadFrom Isojoki towards Suojoki about 6.7 km, turn left onto Piikkilänkyläntie and continue on the road about 6 kilometers. The road changes to Piikkiläntie, continue about 2.5 km until you reach the Mustansaarenkeidas parking area.
