Parkano Geopark-tour

From the marketplace, head to Parkanontie and continue towards the south. After about 600 m, continue straight from the roundabout, and after 900 m, turn left onto Kalliotie. Kalliotie undercuts the road nr. 3. Kalliotie is continued to the T-junction, from where you turn left onto Teollisuustie, which is continued south. After Porintie is undercut, the name of the road changes to Kissakivenkatu. We continue it for 1.3 km, and then turn left onto Porintie, which we follow for 2.7 km. In Lapinneva, turn right onto Kostulantie and follow it through the village of Lapinneva. After about 800 m, the road crosses the Parkano - Niinisalo track and immediately after that the old Lapinneva turf track.

The route continues along Kostulantie. About 1.4 km away on the left side of the road is Harjulammi beach. From the beach, continue along Kostulantie, which turns into a gravel road after about 200 m. About 700 m from here, continue straight at the intersection of four roads. Let's continue on Kostulantie past Hanhijärvi. 2.7 km away, there is an intersection of four roads, from which you can turn right to Isosaari beach. The route continues directly north from the intersection, 4 km from the T-junction, turn right onto Karviantie, which is a paved road.

Karviantie is continued towards Parkano. After about 6 km, the Vuorijoki old forest reserve on the right. After about 3 km, on the left side of the route, the Viinikanjoki sloop and fishing area. The route continues from here for about 1 km back to Parkano market.

By roadFrom the south and north, take the 3-way to Parkano and follow the signs to the center of Parkano along Keskuskatu. At the end of Keskuskatu, turn right and after about 100 m, turn left into Parkano's Matkahuolto yard, where there is space for parking.

From Porintie in the west, follow the signs towards the center of Parkano, approximately 1.9 km north of Parkanotie, then the Parkano Matkahuolto on the right side of the road, with space for parking.
