Pirkanmaa Geopark tour

From Parkano railway station, turn left and drive along Uudenasemantie road towards the center of Parkano. After about 3 km, turn left onto Käenmäentie and continue for about 2 km, and turn left at the T-junction. Continue on Parkanontie for about 1 km. Turn right onto Keskuskatu, and continue through downtown. When you reach Vaasantie, turn onto the light traffic route next to it and continue under Vaasantie to Kolmoskeskus. Most of Parkano's services can be found in the area of ​​the city center and Kolmoskeskus, including several grocery stores, restaurants and also a hotel.

When you reach Niementie road in Kolmoskeskus, turn left and continue to the Parkanontie roundabout, from where you continue on Heinosentie to Kuruntie. Turn left towards Kuru. After the Viinikanjoki bridge, turn right onto Yliskyläntie and continue for 13 km to Ikaalinen Poltti. At Poltti, turn right from the T-junction, continue on Poltinkoskentie for 2 km to Kasittula, where you first turn right onto Poltinkoskentie and after the Vääräjoki bridge, turn left onto Riitialantie, which is continued for about 4 km. When you reach Highway 3, turn left and continue for 2.5 km until you reach the Mansoniemi bridge. After the bridge, on the right, is a campsite.

From Mansoniemi, continue on the third road and turn right onto Raivalantie. Raivalantie will be continued for 14 km to Raivala, from where, after crossing Porintie, continue on Laholuomantie for 7 km and turn right onto Suomijärventie, which will continue for 7.5 km and turn right onto Rannankyläntie. Continue on Rannankyläntie for 7.5 km and turn left onto Ylä-Satakunnantie, which continues for 6 km until you reach the Karvia agglomeration.

In the Karvia town, turn right onto Kirkkomukka and cycle to the Karvia church. From there, the pedestrian/cycle lane along Kylä-Karviantie and Sarvelantie will continue for about 4 km to Sarvela. This section has a large part of the services in the Karvia town center area. About 2 km north of Sarvela, along Sarapohjantie, is Anne's art café, a popular attraction.

At the Käntynmäki village shop, turn right onto Alkkiantie road and continue for about 23 km to the intersection of Lake Kuivasjärvi. On this section at 14 km on the left is Neva-Lyly, at 15 km on the right is Alkkianvuori, for Neva-Lyly the distance from Alkkiantie is about 2 km, to Alkkianvuori about 1.5 km. Along the way will also be the area of ​​the former Karvia reserve prison and the area of ​​the Finnish Forest Research Institute in the village of Alkkia.

From the intersection of Lake Kuivasjärvi, continue straight for about 13 km to the center of Kihniö. Pyhäniementie, which turns right after Naarminkylä, there is accommodation an restaurant services by a nice sandy beach 2.5 km away from the route. 

When you reach the center, turn left onto Kihniöntie and at Puumila Taitotalo tradition house turn right onto Kuruntie. After about 1 km, turn left onto Järvisuomentie, which is continued for about 4 km, and then turn right onto Mustaniementie, which is continued for about 6 km, and then turn left onto Koskenkyläntie. It is continued for about 2.5 km, turn right, follow Järvisuomentie for 4 km and then turn left onto Uudenasemantie. It continues for 4.5 km until you reach Parkano station, which is the end point of the route.

From the direction of Pori, take road 23 to Parkano, join road 3 and about 3 km north of the city center from road 3 to Parkano railway station.

From the north on road 3 before Parkano, turn left towards Parkano train station.
