In addition to the towns of Kankaanpää, Siikainen, Honkajoki, Karvia and Jämijärvi, the following Geopark sites can be found along the route: Haapakeidas and Huidankeidas mire reserves, Lauhanvuori National Park, Kauhaneva - Pohjankangas National Park, Häädetjärvi and Hämeenkangas.
The recommended direction of travel is clockwise. The route is a ring route and runs mainly along permanently paved roads or well-surfaced gravel roads.
Continue on the pedestrian/cycle lane for about 300 m, turn left and continue for about 400 m. Turn right, cross the Porintie underpass and then turn left. Continue the pedestrian/cycle lane until its end and move along Porintie. Continue for 650 m and turn right onto Venesjärventie. Continue on Venesjärventie.
About 2.7 km away you cross the Karvianjoki. Continue on Venesjärventie for about 6 km until you reach Lake Venesjärvi. Venesjärvi has a shop, a winery and a convenience store, as well as a beach.
From Venesjärvi, continue on Venesjärventie for about 7 km, when you reach the municipal border. Continue for about 4 km until you reach an intersection. Continue straight from the intersection to Hirvijärventie. After about 9 km you will reach the bridge over Lake Hirvijärvi. Continue for about 6 km, when on the left side of the road is the Siikainen Church and the Local History Museum. Through Pappilantie, which runs next to the church and the cemetery, there is a connection to Lake Itäjärvi with a bird tower and a shelter.
After the church, continue on Hirvijärventie, about 300 m away is the Heinijoki bridge and 200 m away you will reach the center of Siikainen. From the intersection of the four roads, continue directly following Lauttijärventie, and at about 100 m turn right onto Kankaanpääntie. Continue for about 650 m until you turn left at the intersection of four roads, Rantatie, which you continue for about 150 m. Then turn right for Paloniementie, continue for about 400 m.
At the end of the road, a light traffic lane begins and continues on. About 300 m away it ends at the road to the beach, the beach on the left. The route continues to the right, about 70 m away it joins Eteläpääntie, the Eteläpää tourist center is on the left of this junction. The route continues to the right and about 250 m away joins Siikaistentie. Turn left and follow Siikaistentie.
After about 1.3 km on the right side of the road is the Tunturijoki Museum Bridge. After about 3 km you cross the Samminjoki. From here, 1 km ahead, you will reach an intersection where you turn left, towards Honkajoki. Continue on Honkajoentie, which will soon cross the Samminjoki. After the bridge, turn left to Haapakeidas, roadside signs to Katselmankallio, where there is an observation tower, a lean-to shelter, a wilderness hut and a connection to the Haapajärvi nature trail.
The route continues towards Honkajoki, about 5.4 km away you reach the municipal border, where the name of the road changes to Rynkäistentie. Continue on, after about 8 km you will reach the edge of Pieksunkangas, where you will find the Tervatie and ancient mounds, which can be classified as ancient relics. After about 2.6 km to the left, the road to Pesämäki crosses to the left. Continue straight, follow a section of about 4 km in the middle of the agricultural landscape of the Karvianjoki Valley. Finally, we reach the roundabout, before which we turn left, cross Rynkäistentie and follow the light traffic, cross Pohjanmaantie and turn right and continue on the light traffic route towards Honkajoki. At the roundabout turn left onto Honkahovi, with hotel and restaurant services.
From Honkahovi you continue to Honkajoki, about 700 m you cross the Karvianjoki Lankoski. About 400 m ahead you reach a crossroads of four roads. To the right of the intersection is the Honkajoki Church. The route turns left onto Katkontie, which is now followed by 11.6 km. The route runs through rural landscapes. At 11.3 km cross the Karvianjoki below the Jylli dam, the power plant will be on the right. The road ends at the intersection of four roads, from where you turn right. Continue on Aunesluomantie for 8.5 km. Arriving at the municipal border, the name of the road changes to Skanssinti. Continue for 5.5 km until you reach Kantti, where you turn left. At the crossroads on the left are Kantti's old barns. Continue on Kauraharjuntie for about 300 m and turn left onto thepedestrian/cycle lane following Karviantie.
Continue towards Karvia, which is about 8.5 km away. 600 m to the left remains the Cultural Center Skantzi. After 100 m Skantz, the route goes to Karviantie, and after about 1 km back to the pedestrian/cycle lane. Follow this to the center of Karvia. Just before arriving in the town center, cross the Ylä-Satakunnantie leading to Parkano. After the junction, continue to Karvia Church, about 200 m.
From the church, the route turns right, and continues along Kirkkomukka for about 450 m. The route arrives at Ylä-Satakunnantie, turns left and follows the Ylä-Satakunta road for about 6 km. In Suomijärvi, the route turns right onto Rannankyläntie.
Follow it for 7.5 km, up to the municipal border. At the municipal border, the name of the road will change to Suomijärventie, it will continue directly for 7.5 km. At Laholuoma, turn right onto Kuusijärventie and continue for 3 km. Arrive at the intersection of four roads, from where you turn left and continue on Kuusijärventie for 10 km.
When you reach Porintie, turn right and after about 200 m turn left. Continue on Kuusijoentie for about 7 km to Tyykö, where you turn left at the T-junction. Continue on Tykkööntie for about 5 km, reach Jämijärvi. Cross Jämijärventie and turn left, the route passes through the center of Jämijärvi. After about 400 m turn right onto Jämintie. Continue for about 1.4 km, turn right onto Vihuntie.
From the intersection of Vihuntie it is possible to continue directly to the Jämi tourist center, the distance is about 5 km. Jämi offers restaurant and accommodation services as well as program services.
The winding road continues for about 7 km. Arrive at the village of Vihu and at the intersection of three roads. Continuing the road, the name of the road changes to Kuninkaanlähteentie. After about 5 km you will reach Kuninkaanlähde, the caravan park, restaurant services and the in-ground swimming pool on the right, Kuninkaanlähde spring and accommodation services on the left.
From Kuninkaanlähde continue for 4 km to Pansiankulma, where you turn right at the T-junction. Continue on Pansiantie for about 3 km, after 2km a pedestrian/cycle lane is available. From the junction of Kirkkokatu, turn right and follow Kirkkokatu for 1.2 km, you will reach Kankaanpää church. From the church, continue along the street that has become Keskuskatu for about 700 m to Kankaanpää market, where the route ends.

When arriving from road 3 from the south, route options from the Nokia Kolmenkulma junction towards Pori, from Mouhijärvi towards Suodenniemi and Lavia, and from Lavia towards Kankaanpää. Alternative route along road nr. 3 to Ikaalinen and via Jämijärvi and Niinisalo to Kankaanpää.
Road nr. 3 from the north, drive to Parkano and take to road 23 towards Kankaanpää and according to the signs to the center.
