The name ”Aurinko” can be translated as sun. The work brings sunshine to the people of Kankaapää in the middle of everyday life.
The succulent surface structure of the yellow circle creates a living pulse in the work. The work can be seen from afar on the district wall and over the years it has become an integral part of the building and the urban environment.
The artist has said that the starting point of his art is the expression of experiences, feelings and moods in a simple concrete form.
