Traveller – Cycle touring routes
The main part of the Two Billion Year Tours consists of three
interconnected routes, which you can take one at a time or do all three. Traveller routes offer overnight adventures for experienced cyclists
and bikepackers. The routes will take you to the best parts of the Geopark, and to beautiful landscapes. Municipal centers and many top-notch tourist services are also located along the routes.
Enjoyer -Local routes
On these shorter local routes, you’ll be able to take enjoyable bike
rides to the most typical landscapes and interesting destinations in the Geopark municipalities. Local routes are especially suitable for one-day bike trips, also for families and beginners.
Adventurer – MTB and gravel road cycling routes
Real adventure awaits you on mountain bike trails and gravel road routes.
Explore Lauhanvuori National Park on the Geobike route that goes through the finest natural attractions of the national park. Continue your trip to Kauhaneva-Pohjankangas National Park along the gravel road.
There are hundreds of kilometers of easy-to-drive routes on the forest roads of the heath terrains of Hämeenkangas. The Geobike Hämeenkangas trail takes you to the area’s most popular natural attractions.
The Geopark area also has numerous other great mountain bike trails for those who enjoy off-road cycling.
Connecting routes
The EuroVelo 10 route runs along the coast and has practical connecting routes to the Geopark’s Two Billion Year Tours routes. You can also pedal to the Geopark cycling routes from the Lake Trails cycling routes of Tampere region.
