Huhtakorpi boulder field

The boulder field of Huhtakorpi consists of Lauhanvuori sandstone. It was originally a sandstone cliff, but crumbled and migrated into place during ancient ice ages. Lauhanvuori has a dozen or so different boulder fields. They are usually similar to the Huhtakorpi boulder field, less than 50 m wide and about 150-300 m long.

You can easily explore Huhtakorpi boulder field on foot. It is located along the connecting route from Lauhanvuori to Lauhansarvi. In the middle of the stone series there is a viewing platform, to which the route leading to it is equipped with duckboards.
