Huhtakorpi stream springs

The springs of Huhkorpi are so-called stream springs. In them, the small flowing streams originate directly under the ground, without separate spring ponds. There are numerous small streams in the area of Huhkorpi, which are also known as "Lauha's fingers". They join to form a clear-water stream that eventually flows into Kärkiluoma, one of the tributaries of Isojoki river. There are also some moss-covered seepage surfaces in the area, from which groundwater seeps to the surface of the earth.

You can reach Huhkorpi springs along the Lauhanvuori circuit trail. The section of the trail from the direction of the forest reindeer enclosure to the side of the largest spring stream is gravelled.

The Huhkorpi spring area is one of the geosites of the Lauhanvuori - Hämeenkangas Geopark.
