Kauhajoen Veteraanien perinnetalo

Right in the center of Kauhajoki, there is a museum, Veterans'  Heritage House, where visitors can tune in to the history of Finland and Kauhajoki in particular, especially from the perspective of conscription, wars and peacekeeping. The museum has a lot of visual material and artefacts on display. During your visit, you can easily immerse yourself in different eras and understand what stages in Finnish history have been experienced due to wars.

In the museum's exhibitions, you can get to know, for exampl the maintenance of soldiers, tarragon, the operation of military hospitals and life during wartimes.

The Kauhajoki Veterans Heritage House is maintained by the Kauhajoki Veterans Association, which was founded on April 18, 1994 and manages and owns the collections and exhibitions in the museum.
