Kauhajoki Church

Kauhajoki Church is the sixth church built on the same site. It is located in the middle of the village in a beautiful river landscape. The church was designed by Veikko Larkas and was inaugurated in 1958. The church is an open Bible on its backs. The style of the church is modern, but it is inspired by the medieval churches in Finland. The mosaic altarpiece is built by Toivo Luoma. The church has seats for 830 people.
