Kosketus artwork in Kankaanpää

Erikka Fyrand, 1998.

The name "Kosketus" can be translated as touch. A peat heart was made at the Nordic Peat Sculpture Symposium. It is located on the lawn slope of the cemetery. The artist wanted to show love to past generations under the ground in an uncomplicated way and with a symbol recognized by all.

Many years the fabric torches have been lit around the heart during Kankaanpää Art Week.
