The Pirunkierros is a circular trail with a total length of 4 kilometres. The lean-to shelter is located about 1.1 kilometres from the Kivijata Stone Field, but since the route runs clockwise, the distance from the start to the lean-to is about 2.9 kilometres.

By roadYou can get to the lean-to from the Kivijata Stone Field by following the signs. The path to the lean-to is varied, with both peaty forest and swampy terrain.
