Mietiskelijät artwork in Kankaanpää

The name ”Mietiskelijät” can be translated as thinkers.

”I remember doing the sculpture in front of the sculpture facilities outside in the yard of a new art school on hot spring day. There were many of us who drilled with fiberglass and the humor was on pressure at times when the fiberglass strips stuck to the scissors and breathing through the respirators was hard in hot air. Well we finished the statues and it felt good when the multi-stage work was finally finished” -Maarit Puhakka 2021
