The "Rakkauden hiljaisuus" from 1995 by Matti Varik. The name Rakkauden hiljaisuus can be translated as silence of love

The upper surface of the work has been carved with a handmade tools. The surface has a lovemaking couple. The Couple is presented unadorned and referenced. The stone that reminds a tombstone is polished to shine.

"Love is very intimate relationshop between two people which remains beautiful in isolation from time and place." - Matti Varik.

Islender Matti Varik died in 2011. According to Estonian sculptor Tauno Kangro, "Varik was best teacher to teach how to model human figure and human body. Also how to show the movement or size in the works. I am very grateful for him."
