The title of the woodrelief work “Verkko” refers to illness and treatment. The name can be translated as network. The individual drifts into a particular network where loved ones help to free them from it.
The materials in Ensio Härkönen's early works have been concrete and wood. In the early 2000s, Härkönen began making steel sculptures by welding. Since the 2010s, the materials in Härkönen's installations and works have been recycled materials and steel.
