Kuivajärvi, Lauhanvuori

Kuivajärvi is the largest seasonal wetland of Lauhanvuori national park. It is a basin where water level changes during seasons. In early summer there is a pond, in late autumn there is just dry land. The water is mostly melting waters from Spring. Kuivajärvi does not have a discharge, but the water seeps slowly during the summer into the permeable soils of Lauhanvuori, forming groundwater.
