Some of Itäkorpi's wooden products are made in collaboration with beavers. How does the collaboration with beavers work?
- "The beavers take care of the tree felling and stripping the bark. I collect the wood from the pond, dry it, saw it, and engrave it with a pyrography pen. Finally, I treat the surfaces of the products with either oil or wax," says Miia Rantala, the entrepreneur of Itäkorpi.
The products are purely Finnish handicrafts made from Finnish nature and even created in collaboration with nature, so each product is unique.
Custom orders are also made according to the customer's wishes.
Itäkorpi operates in the village of Vuorijärvi in Parkano.
