Kivikukka artwork in Kankaanpää

Liisa Juhantalo, 1997. The name "Kivikukka" can be translated as stone flower.

The flower opens it's petals in the directions of the evening sun. Only the facade of the trimmed stone was carved. The visible part in us humans thrives and the other part remains hidden. The artist dedicates the work to her mother.

Sculptors Pertti Mäkinen and Reijo Paavilainen also took part in the finishing of the work.
