The name "Maageeni" can be translated as earth gene.
Genes have a beginning of life. According to Mellberg, the sculpture was a stand on genetic engineering. If this arcuate shape were continued, it would resemble DNA.
Nowadays, working as a goldsmith Mellberg wants to work his stones as light and plastic.
