Military Museum Karhumäki
Military Museum Karhumäki in Parkano introduces you to wartime history. The museum includes buildings with artefacts and the yard with heavy military equipment. In the yard, a Mig-21 fighter and an armored car, as well as old army vehicles, are displayed. In addition, you can see e.g. an old, rare radar from the army and a cannon in the museum area.
The museum includes museum building, a dugout and a village shop. There is an extensive collection of e.g. wartime handguns and hobby crafts. In the museum you will also get to know other old objects, such as various telephones and their field centers. Visit also the village shop museum with the atmosphere of the 1960s and 70s. In the village shop museum, you will find many familiar brands in the packaging of past decades.
The Military Museum Karhumäki takes in individual tourists during the museum's opening hours and groups by appointment.
