Nameless work by Pauls Jaunzems in Kankaanpää

Two identical red granite feminine forms dominate the lake landscape on the lawn of the Riviera beach. The Kalevala and the breasts of the early mother were already mentioned at the time of the creation of the work. The work is from 1995.

The artist is pleased that statues ended up in a beautiful lakeside as a result of the consideration by artist and the representatives of Kankaanpää city. The artist wanted to avoid overly simplistic interpretation so he made the work nameless.

Kalevala is poetry collection compiled by Elias Lönnrot in the 19th-century from Karelian and Finnish oral folklore and mythology.
