Perhonen artwork in Kankaanpää

The artwork’s name Perhonen can be translated to Butterfly. The artwork is, in accordance to the style faithful to the artist, a wildly and restlessly growing tapestry of many shapes that is held in place by the symmetry of the butterfly shape and the finishing aesthetic grip of the skillful artist.
The massive size of the sculpture and its placement on the ground as freestanding highlight the tension between the stone sculpture’s material nature and the starting point of its theme.
