Ruokojärvi cultural landscape

Alakylä, located in the vicinity of Kankaanpää church, with its riparian fields and old buildings, has remained like a traditional rural village right next to the Kankaanpää town center. The buildings of the Alakylä farms are mainly from the 19th century. The cultural landscape of Ruokojärvi is guarded by the Kankaanpää church, which is one of the largest wooden churches in Satakunta region. The Empire-style cross church was designed by Carl Ludvig Engel and was completed in 1839.
