Head north from the shelter, along a path in a pine forest. After about 100 m you will bypass the Wilpertti hut and the duckboard trail starts. About 300 m away is the trail guestbook and a trail junction. The trail leading to the right takes you to the edge of an old peat production area that has been turned into a bird wetland and nature reserveI. t is a good place to observe waterfowl and wetland life.

After the junction, the route continues following the shore of Neva-Lyly. There are several rest stops along the trail. After about 850 meters, the path reaches dry land and the rest of the way back to the starting point is followed along the road following an esker.
