The nature trail runs through varied terrain. Wet sections are equipped with duckboards. Resting area structures can be found at the southern end of the route in Käenkoski and at the northern end in the Forest Museum. The structures of the Messukallio landscape church are also suitable for a break.
It is possible to walk the trail in one dircetion or back and forth.
The route is maintained by the city of Parkano. The route is guided by marked signs and red route signs in terrain. The guide is complemented by the GPX trail found on Outdooractive.
Continue north from the shelter following the signs. About 2 km away, the route goes around the long-distance section of the Vehkapurunlahti shoreline. After the swamp section, the route rises to the moraine ridge and runs along it for about 800 m to the parking area of the Eräkaita hut. The wilderness hut is for private use.
From the parking area the route continues to the lake shore. After about 500 m you reach Parkano's largest boulder, Sormikivi. From Sormikivi continue on for about 600 m to Messukallio. From Messukallio, the route continues to about 700 Forest Museums, where the route ends.

By roadFrom highway nr. 3, take the signs to Parkano station to Uudenasemantie road, from where the signs to Käenkoski.
