Plan your trip

Follow the trail markers to the boardwalk that starts on the left side of the beach. After about 150 m, you’ll see a shelter and a dock on the right side of the trail. Continue along the boardwalk to the northeast corner of the lake, where the gravel section begins. Continue along the trail and pass the branch of the Muinaisvuoret Trail leading to Iso Kakkor. On the southeastern shore of the lake, there is a rest area with a table and benches. Continue along the trail to the southern end of the lake, where the trail forks. The left fork is the section of the Muinaisvuoret Trail leading to Karijoki, which is partially boardwalked. The Peurajärvi Trail continues to the right, and immediately after the fork, a boardwalk section begins. Follow it to the Peurajärvi parking lot, which is back at the trailhead.
